With Papy & Son #1. First hike for #1 after his 5th birthday. 11km and 600m of vert. He was a bit pooped at the end and I had to carry him, but a great outing. Lots of Artic Chars in the stream if you know where to look for them.
The mountain rescue team of the PGHM have a new type of helicopter, the Ecureuil EC 145 which has a higher payload and night vision capabilities. It replaces the venerable Alouette 3 which had been in the skies for 2-3 decades. While in town to bring son #1 to the circus, they lifted off the base for a rescue in the Ecrins range. I managed to get a few shots on their way out and back. These guys save numerous lives every year at the risk of their own and yet everybody takes them for granted. They are a class act.
With Bruno and Lionel.
Woke up to a chilly 3c Degrees at home. Nice deep blue sky and perfect temps to climb though once the sun hit the cliff face. Nice views at the top before we got hit with a small hail storm and headed back down.
A weekend spent doing some work done with my gear (set-up the tail clips for my skins). Also went for a quick hike on sunday. Mixed pictures of cloudy saturday, with gear pics and some from the hike on sunny sunday.
